The 844 Final shots

The Union Pacific runs the 844 as an excursion train out of Cheyenne Wyoming. They were returning from a tour around the Portland area. You could buy tickets to ride along either to the next stop or all the way back to Cheyenne if you wanted to. Maybe some other day.

The 844 Departs

Sunday morning we got up at the crack of dawn and drove out along the tracks east of town to see the 844 depart to it's next stop. We joined half a dozen others at this location but could see others stopped to watch up and down the track.

The 844 comes to town

This old Steam Locomotive 844 came to town this weekend. We took the girls down to the depot to see it since there are less than a handful of these old beauties still around. Samantha's GT Project

This is Samantha's big year end home project for GT. She had to do research, write a report, do a powerpoint presentation and a family home project. The left side of the board is Elizabeth's family and close friends, the center are Elizabeth's portraits and explaining the symbolism. The right are pictures Samantha just found interesting.
