This week has mostly been taken up with wiring the different systems: phone, electric, network and cable. It's important work but not good for dramatic changes. Finally Wednesday the sheetrock arrived. The next day we found not only had they started with the drywall, but they had also begun hanging the siding. It was one busy construction site with both crews working well past 5 PM so we took only a few pictures and then let them be.

Who knew it could be so difficult to get a couple of porch posts built.

What a finished post is supposed to look like 

The first set of posts. They are really hard to explain other than making you feel like the whole thing is going to fall. Two sides are totally plumb the other two slanted.
