They finally fixed the pillars. (see Sept. 30 for the history) They torn down the old ones and moved the new ones in six inches and they look great. They have also started putting on the texturing. It's really hard to get a photograph of the wall texture, it's just a light pebbly look, very understated and just enough so the walls once painted won't look totally flat.

The ceiling texture is also nicely understated. Just enough to add a bit of visual interest without screaming at you like some of the older 'popcorn' or swirl finishes I've seen.
